The character I want to use is this series; I won’t use all of them.
Idea 1: Gamma (as a pet) is a thief. The character is on guard duty, and Gamma sneaks down from a high place but triggers an alarm and becomes the target of pursuit. The other two characters are chosen from Alpha, Beta, and Delta.
Idea 2: Gamma (as a giant beast) guards its home/territory. The character is a thief. There are fight scenes, with Gamma using its front paws and tail for sweeping attacks.
Idea 3: Gamma (as a pet) works with the character to steal things. There is a walking cycle in the early stages.
Mise-en-scène Mise-en-scène is the stage design and arrangement of actors in scenes for a theatre or film production, both in visual arts through storyboarding, visual theme, and cinematography, and in narrative storytelling through direction.
You need to guide how the audience respond to your work.
The rule of thirds: The human eye naturally gravitates to intersection points that occur when an image is split into thirds. Frame your subject so they are positioned on the intersection of any two or more lines.
The horizon should be either two thirdsfrom the top of the frame or two thirdsfrom the bottom.
First is the world. We need to focus:
• Where is this taking place? • What era? • Future, past or present? • Space? Western? East Asian? Steam punk? Etc • What governs your world? Laws? Gods/religions? How do these things effect your story?
For the second term we start to our collaboration unit. It’s a really excited thing to have the collabration with other course students. We can learn different knowledge form each other, and create a amazing work together.
I will start with other four students, one from 3dca(Zou), one from MA animation(Arya), other two from game design(Heliu and Han). We aim to make a Independent Game. I will probably do the modelling, animation and rendering.
Arya’s proposal
This is a first proposal by Arya.
World background by Arya: The Forest, the City and the Raven, on an environmental theme, deals with the inevitable death toll of the transformation of forests into industrial cities. What starts as a colorful scene of a natural forest ends in the first chapter and then begins to crumble in the second, turning into a cold, black and white industrial city. In the end, the result is that flowers grow on the steel plate.
And the style might be use Cel-shading techniques.
This class mainly talks about the proposal to be submitted in June, because we need to prepare for our final essay from now on, and this proposal is a preliminary investigation of the final essay.
We need to consider what my research topic is going to do in some way, whether it fills a current gap, or a completely new Angle, perhaps an experiment and contribution I’m making. For this I need to do a lot of reading and complete a complete literature review.
Including:
Research title or questionDraft introduction Key words searched General outline of each chapterDraft literature review A draft chapter Indicative bibliography
And try to get a conclusion

How will you showcase your FMP practice for the final shows?
Use free rigged model files from the web to create and render animations based on your own storyboards and finishes (attached)
Is it important to directly connect the thesis research to your practical work?
It is important to have contact, but it does not need to be direct contact
Do you have an area of research you wish to conduct that is unrelated to practical element?
Not very hopeful, but if it is a field that I am passionate about and interested in, I will consider pursuing it, but I also hope to have a job with stable income.
