Today, I completed the modeling of the deer. Serving as the third character in the project, the deer assumes the role of transportation, aiding character01 in crossing the river.

In the UV part, I opted for the Automatic option as it saves time and offers great convenience.
Today I finished the landform modelling in MAYA, this is the design by Arya
concept design
Basically, I used two methods to build the landform. One involved using a single mesh and moving the vertexs. However, I realized that the mesh might become excessively dense (left land). Consequently, I switched to creating polygons to outline the reference shape. Then, I proceeded to clean up faces with more than five sides, allowing Maya to automatically correct any irregular polygonal faces in the right land.
Due to some technical issues encountered during the binding process, I discussed with my team member Zou, who is responsible for rigging in our team. I gained an understanding of some parts that need modification.
Adjust the portion of the neck to the front of the body.
Minimize the texture generated by the model on the neck as much as possible and switch to using texture.
Merge the legs of the model with the body and modify the poly.

This is a rendering I produced using Arnold, showcasing potential effects that could be implemented in the game.
We made some adjustments to Character 01, making them more rounded and adorable, enhancing their appeal.

1.11.2
When initially creating the model, I designed the arms and torso as separate objects. However, when testing the model in Mixamo, I encountered some issues around the shoulders (refer to Figure 1.3). My collaborator responsible for rigging suggested merging the arms and body into a single object (as shown in Figure 1.2).
In order to better rig, the head parts of the Boss are removable, and the body parts are merged together, like a spine, and the four legs are placed side by side.
For the second term we start to our collaboration unit. It’s a really excited thing to have the collabration with other course students. We can learn different knowledge form each other, and create a amazing work together.
I will start with other four students, one from 3dca(Zou), one from MA animation(Arya), other two from game design(Heliu and Han). We aim to make a Independent Game. I will probably do the modelling, animation and rendering.
Arya’s proposal
This is a first proposal by Arya.
World background by Arya: The Forest, the City and the Raven, on an environmental theme, deals with the inevitable death toll of the transformation of forests into industrial cities. What starts as a colorful scene of a natural forest ends in the first chapter and then begins to crumble in the second, turning into a cold, black and white industrial city. In the end, the result is that flowers grow on the steel plate.
And the style might be use Cel-shading techniques.
